CARAMELODRAMA HAS MOVED...a grief ago.

Hi all,

Sorry to break this now. This page won't direct link you to my new (fairly old) blog. Click on the link below:

CARAMELODRAMA

Thursday, July 07, 2005

You are nurturing, kind, and lucky. Like mother nature, you want to help everyone. You are good at keeping secrets and tend to be secretive. A seeker of harmony, you are a natural peacemaker. You are good natured and people enjoy your company. You put people at ease and make them feel at home with you.

BLOG-sliding

Hehe... *sneaky* :D Since I've been blogsliding, I better do something about it! See, no one food-tagged me so I just copied and pasted so I've got a new post! Cheating eh? Not! ;p

_________________________________________________________

1. What is your first memory of baking/cooking on your own?
When I was in Std. 2, came back from school and funny, my mom wasn't home and no food on the table plus, I was hungry [couldn't wait for her to come home as well] so I cooked Maggi for myself.

2. Who had the most influence on your cooking?
My dad. He cooks the best fusion food! You know, my dad loves experimenting new stuff and a better name for 'weird food' is 'fusion' lah. I got pretty weird taste so I can whip up WEIRD stuff ;p

3. Do you have an old photo as “evidence” of an early exposure to the culinary world and would you like to share it?
No, I don't want to share it ;)

4. Mageirocophobia - do you suffer from any cooking phobia, a dish that makes your palms sweat?
Yeah...I would freak out if Iever forget I left my stove on and I smell something burning. Well, not exactly a cooking phobia per se.

5. What would be your most valued or used kitchen gadgets and/or what was the biggest let down?
Most valued/used kitchen gadget: Has to be my Tefal frying pan...makes me feel like Jamie Oliver's apprentice haha! :D It's a frying pan, but I can do miracles with it. Tell me about cooking rice with a pan ;)

6. Name some funny or weird food combinations/dishes you really like - and probably no one else!
I really love Hup Seng crackers with Marmite , cheese and a thin slice of cucumber...mmmm

7. What are the three eatables or dishes you simply don’t want to live without?
(a) Rice! Staple food right? Right? Makes you fat? Really? So what?
(b) Tom yam. Boosts your metabolic rate. Yeah, baby!
(c) Yong Tau Fu! It's a Hakka thing hahaha!

8. Three quickies:
Your favorite ice-cream… : This is probably an insult to ice-cream but I love Lecka-lecka's Strawberry Gelato!
You will probably never eat… : Chicken curry/rendang. Yucks!
Your own signature dish… : Wu tau kou - Yam cake. Believe it or not.

9. Who do you want most to cook you dinner?
My mom. She hasn't been cooking ever since my brother was born. That's since 1992. Because everytime she goes to the kitchen, my brother will scream and cry like being tortured. It's mad! So she told my dad "Ah, you go and cook." And my dad conveniently rule and conquer the kitchen ever since.

And my own question that I would love to answer:

10. How do you bake a cheesecake [that's edible]?
Just what I wanted to know! I don't know. I suck at baking.

I have to tag 3 people eh?
a) Chai Yee. My super buddy, my supper buddy hehehe :)
b) Addy. My all-time buddy and anything buddy. I can talk, share, do whatever with her! ;p
c) LiSh. I wanna see what she has to say. heh heh.

Edit: MAJOR CORRECTION: I'm so sorry Vicky, I didn't read your meme :( My mistake that I didn't see that you tagged me as well.

Live Like You Were Dying
By Tim McGraw

Live Like You Were Dying – Tim McGraw

He said I was in my early forties
with a lot of life before me
when a moment came that stopped me on a dime
and I spent most of the next days
looking at the x-rays
Talking bout the options
and talking bout sweet time
I asked him when it sank in
that this might really be the real end
how’s it hit you when you get that kinda news
man what’d you do

and he said
I went sky diving
I went Rocky Mountain climbing
I went 2.7 seconds on a bull named fumanchu
and I loved deeper and I spoke sweeter
and I gave forgiveness I’d been denying
and he said someday I hope you get the chance
to live like you were dying.

He said I was finally the husband
that most the time I wasn’t
and I became a friend a friend would like to have
and all the sudden going fishin
wasn’t such an imposition
and I went three times that year I lost my dad
well I finally read the good book
and I took a good long hard look
at what I’d do if I could do it all again

and then
I went sky diving
I went Rocky Mountain climbing
I went 2.7 seconds on a bull named fumanchu
and I loved deeper and I spoke sweeter
and I gave forgiveness I’d been denying
and he said someday I hope you get the chance
to live like you were dying.

Like tomorrow was a gift and you got eternity to think about
What’d you do with it what did you do with it
what did I do with it
what would I do with it?

Sky diving
I went Rocky Mountain climbing
I went 2.7 seconds on a bull named fumanchu
and then I loved deeper and I spoke sweeter
and I watched an eagle as it was flying
and he said someday I hope you get the chance
to live like you were dying.
To live like you were dying
To live like you were dying
To live like you were dying
To live like you were dying

This is for you Ju! Happy Birthday...the Lord has always been with you and always will be with you
